Kindergarten Celebrates Earth Day with Armstrong Cable

Our kindergarten students had a fun and exciting Earth Day thanks to Armstrong Cable! Armstrong started the event by reading a book about taking care of the Earth. Then, students helped plant a tree outside the school. Each child got a small shovel to add dirt around the tree. Armstrong will also add a sign next to the tree that says it was planted by the Mapleton Class of 2037! The students also completed an activity learning how to reduce, reuse, and recycle. They also colored Earth Day pictures to take home. A big surprise came when someone from Armstrong showed up dressed as a giant inflatable Earth! The kids loved it! At the end of the event, each child got a squishy Earth ball as a gift from Armstrong.
We are thankful for Armstrong Cable and their support. It was a special day that helped our students learn how to care for the Earth.
